OIA, SANTORINI, GREECE

The town was covered with white homes built on the edge of the mountain, it was remarkably stunning! Aside from the views, Oia had the most amazing designer shops, almost every shop that comes to mind. My only complaint was how overly crowed it was, especially when the sun was beginning to set.

SAILING THE MEDITERRANEAN

Sailing the Mediterranean was an adventurous journey I would recommend over and over again. If you were to ask Mike, he would tell you this was by far his favorite adventure. Santorini is surrounded by water, mountains, and volcanos. Sailing allowed us to see a whole new side of Santorini.

When we unloaded onto shore, the mountain side was massive and overwhelming, with little roads going back and forth up the mountain, resembling a trail. The higher the bus took us on the mountain, the more beautiful and breathtaking the site. We then arrived into the town in which we were staying, small roads, filled with lots of people.

Our Second Day in Mykonos we spent in Delos, which is a small island on the outskirts of Mykonos. The island no longer exhibits any habitation and is used as an archeological site. It served as a port during the 1st millennium B.C. The experience was incredible especially to witness how the people lived, the market places, the theatre and the history behind it all.

ATHENS, GREECE

What took our breath away the most was, of course, the history and architecture of the city. We were blown away by all of the history that consumed this city. To think of how long ago these buildings were constructed, how limited the people were with resources and yet these are some of the most ornate and complex buildings I have ever seen. We couldn't help but think of Christ and how lost this nation was with all their mythology yet Christ was preached and the gospel was spread to the Gentiles.
