THE TUDOR PLACE

Have you ever visited a place and were left without words? The Tudor place is absolutely stunning, to think of the families that lived here and the history was so breathtaking. The actual estate is stunning, I am always so impressed with old architecture to see how ahead of their time these architects and builders were is incredible. But what really took my breath-away were the gardens. This home was once owned by Martha Washington's grand-daughter and was kept in the family. It is located in Georgetown which the location itself is absolutely gorgeous! After parking nearby, all I wanted to do was walk down each street just to admire each home's design and architecture. The admission to view the gardens was under $10 a person and to tour the inside of the home was an additional $20 per person.

"So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you.." Matthew 6:28-30

Gardens of any kind are such a reminder to me of the verses mentioned above. I used to struggle greatly with worry and anxiety. Constantly questioning what God's plans were for my life and if I was walking in the path He had for me. I am shamed of guilt to think of how much I doubted God and how faithless I was. But I am also overwhelmed with love in thinking of how much grace and mercy the Lord has shown me. Whatever we go through big or small, trail or blessing, God is in control of it all. The only thing we have to do is to trust and obey Him.  Pray to our Lord always, trust always, love always and never doubt–for worry and anxiety of any kind is sin. "..for whatever is not from faith is sin." Romans 14:23 Be encouraged for this world is passing and our true reward is in Heaven. With so much Love, Nioby
