INTERRUPTIONS - MOM LIFE
If I were 100% honest, last week was really hard. For the past couple of weeks, Michael’s naps have been off so I have been wondering if it is time to transition from 2 naps to 1 but then randomly he would give me two good days with good consistent naps, so I would just drop the idea. Well, last week every nap was off, and if you are a mom that enjoys having their baby on a schedule you know how much you depend on those consistent naps. Changing up Michael’s schedule was not part of the plan, but it became the plan for the week. But it didn’t just stop there…Michael had four molars break through all at once. Up until now, I would say he has taken teething like a champ, but these four really caused him pain. He refused to eat, didn’t want to play, just wanted to be held and even being in my arms it was hard to soothe him. I was thankful when I found out it was his teeth because even though it’s an awful thing to go through…it really does come to an end. Which reminded me of Proverbs 16:9, not just that God alters our plans, but that His plans are truly what is best. As tiring, long, and hard last week was it truly was a blessing. It brought me to my knees in reliance on God and forced me to change Michael’s nap schedule before Apollos gets here.
As you read this you may roll your eyes or just think how petty these issues are and in the grand scheme of things they are. But if you are anything like me I want to encourage you, ladies, to embrace interruptions and in the midst of them pray for God to show you what He is trying to teach you. ♡
